Functional Movement
Movement is essential for both health & functionality! Everyone wants to be able to walk, run, lift things, play with their kids/grandkids, & do the activities they love. We want that for you too!
The best way to keep doing these things for the rest of your life is to train for them! You train for them by regularly doing functional movements & improving your balance & coordination.
One great benefit is that functional movement also improves your brain & nervous system function. Movement increases frontal lobe activity. This area of your brain is responsible for:
1) inhibiting flexors— the muscles that curl your body forward
2) inhibiting the sympathetic nervous system— your “fight-or-flight” response
3) behavior— your ability to make good decisions
