What To Expect On Your First Visit
Before your appointment, if we have emailed forms to you, please fill them out on a computer and submit. If you’re not able to complete the online forms for any reason, please send us an email or give us a call.
When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll be given a tour of the office. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment.
Once you’re in the exam room we provide some basic chiropractic education so that you can get to know us and what we do in the office. We then discuss your health history and talk about your health concerns. This part of your visit is the complimentary consultation. If we both agree that chiropractic and our office are a good fit for you, we’ll move forward with the next part of your visit!
Next, we do a comprehensive physical exam, which includes a spinal assessment and a nervous system assessment. For infants and children, the exam may also include an assessment of primitive reflexes.
You’ve made a commitment to better health and have scheduled an appointment with us. Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know each other! Here’s what happens during your first visit:
Following your exam, the doctor will take several minutes to review your history and exam findings and then create your personalized report of findings and care recommendations . The doctor will review these with you and answer any questions that you may have.
In most cases, your report of findings will be followed by your first adjustment in the office! If the doctor thinks that x-rays are necessary before an adjustment, you will be referred to a local imaging center to have those done before being scheduled for your first adjustment.
